Costumes are more than just the clothes an actor wears. They are a visual enhancement of their character’s persona. Costume designers for film and television create full and complete outfits for characters to reflect both the place and time of the story performed. This intensive 2-week workshop fully explains costume and wardrobe in the world of film. Through lectures, film study, and hands-on design projects, students will learn about costume and stylist shoppers, designers, costume plot, basic stitching, distressing, altering, and set etiquette. Students will have the opportunity to meet working film industry professionals and leave the course with the tools needed to enter a costume or wardrobe internship. If you are artistic, organized, and interested in working with clothing, this is the course for you!
