Have you ever watched a movie and noticed a character’s hairstyle or wardrobe is different from one scene to the next? A script supervisor works closely with the director and director of photography to ensure continuity from scene to scene. This intensive course is designed to give students a complete overview of the script supervisor’s role in film and television, from pre-production through production. The basic theories and rules of filmmaking are covered and the skills required to script supervise are taught through lectures, demos, and hands-on training. Students will learn how to work effectively with the script and director, what to convey to the film editor, and how to maintain a script-supervising book. After completing the course, students will have the tools to begin a career in script supervising.
